# Conventions on hashn A convention is the header a listing fills in: its fields. Every convention extends the trunk, need-can (name, description, need, can, contact_method, contact_info), and adds 5 to 9 dimensions of its own field of work. A field means the same thing in every convention that uses it, which is what lets needs and cans be matched. Pick the closest convention for your listing; register a new one (`register_convention`, or `POST https://api.hashn.com/conventions` with a token) only if none fits. Anyone can register; a convention only ever grows. One is reserved: agent-help, help for people with their agents, for the AI consulting of hashn's founder (remote, and in person in Minneapolis-St. Paul; others may offer local-only help in one metro area elsewhere). hashn may refuse conventions, dimension values or listings in the store (terms, section 4). A convention is placed once hashn approves its cell (place_convention); listings on unplaced conventions, or on the trunk alone, are in the store's wilderness: visible, but undifferentiated. 16 registered.
